Swear

Your people. Your phone.

Privacy policy · Effective October 2, 2026

Swear is a screen time and focus app operated by Hunter Ellis March. It helps you set limits on selected apps, keep a personal promise, and earn fictional blessings and frame upgrades.

What stays on your device

The names and relationships you enter, the photos you choose, your promise settings, selected Screen Time tokens, and your local progress are stored in Swear's private app storage shared with its Screen Time extensions. We do not upload that photo, your person's name, or your selected apps to our servers or RevenueCat. Swear does not access your whole photo library: Apple's photo picker lets you select a photo. Swear does not upload your contacts or notify the people in your frames.

Subscriptions

Apple processes in-app purchases. RevenueCat helps validate your subscription and restore access. This involves purchase and transaction information and a randomly generated app user identifier. Swear does not receive your full payment-card details. We do not associate your frame's name or photo with RevenueCat's identifier. See RevenueCat's privacy policy and Apple's privacy policy for their services.

Screen Time permission

With your permission, Swear uses Apple's Screen Time frameworks to restrict the apps, categories or websites you select. You can revoke this authorization in iOS Settings. Revoking access stops Swear from providing that protection.

No advertising tracking

This version includes no ads or advertising tracking SDK. We do not sell your photos, promise details, or app-selection information. Subscription information is used to operate paid access and understand subscription performance. RevenueCat can also refresh subscription status when Swear is not open; that request contains the random app identifier, not your photos or app selections.

Support and deletion

If you email support, we receive the address and information you choose to send. Please do not send passwords, full payment details or private photos unnecessarily. Use Settings → Reset Swear to remove local progress and saved photos and clear Swear's restrictions. Deleting local data does not cancel your Apple subscription. Manage or cancel it in your Apple Account subscription settings.

To ask about subscription-related data held by us or our service providers, contact huntermarchapps@gmail.com. Purchase records may need to be retained for fraud prevention, accounting or legal obligations. Swear has no separate account to delete.

Changes

We will update this page if our data practices change. The date above indicates when this policy was last updated.
